La Herradura Dolphin Watching
Activity Details
We'll meet at the appointed time at Marina del Este Marina and, from this point in La Herradura, we'll set sail aboard a beautiful 12 m long (39 ft) sailboat.
After weighing anchor, we'll embark on a peaceful journey along the Costa Tropical. Sailing along the coastline of the province of Granada, we'll admire the spectacular landscapes of the Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs Natural Park.
As we sail through this area of the Mediterranean, characterized by its rugged rocks and wild coves, we'll try to spot dolphins in their natural habitat. These cetaceans often swim along these coasts in search of food, so we'll be able to see them from the boat without getting too close to them.
Throughout the trip, you can enjoy drinks and snacks on board. What's more, if you're joining us in the summer, we'll anchor in a quiet area halfway through the trip so that you can go snorkeling and paddle surfing. You'll have a blast!
Finally, after sailing for 2 or 3 hours, depending on the option you choose, we'll conclude the route by sailing back to the departure dock.
Dolphin Sightings
The waters off La Herradura are one of the best places on Costa Tropical, the coastline of the province of Granada, to see dolphins and other cetaceans. However, dolphins are fairly unpredictable creatures, so we can't promise a sighting. The chances of spotting them depend on various natural and weather-related factors.
